NBA Free Agency

This is a choice blog so I get to write about whatever I feel like. The NBA free agency starts today and there are a couple good NBA players that are available like Nene, Tyson Chandler, Caron Butler, Shannon Brown, and Tayshaun Prince. Some of these players though have made deals with teams. Tyson Chandler signed with the Knicks, Caron Butler signed with the Clippers, Shannon Brown signed with the Hawks and Tayshaun Prince resigned with the Pistons. I am a big Lakers fan and there was a trade rumor going around about the Lakers getting Chris Paul and Dwight Howard for Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, and Lamar Odom. Now that would be awesome. We would have a new and better big three then the big three in Miami. Kobe, CP3, and Howard, would that be even fair? Well later today I found out that the NBA denied a deal that would send Paul to the Lakers, Gasol to the Rockets, and The Hornets would get Kevin Martin, Luis Scola, and Lamar Odom. The reason why they denied it is, because they said they are trying to make the NBA fair. David Stern said that there trying to limit superstar basketball players to team up on teams, which I think is bologna, because it’s the team’s decision on where they could be traded too. The team who is trading the superstar player should receive more players, because a superstar player like Chris Paul is hard to replace so you will probably need more than one player for a superstar player unless you trade a superstar player for another superstar player.  I really hope the Lakers make a push for some key players in the free agency so we could make a run for the title against the Miami Heat this year.
