This next blog is about Mr. Currin being a big deal. Well the answer is that Mr. Currin is a big deal. Mr. Currin is one of my favorite teachers. He is a funny guy who always knows how to put a smile on your face even if you are having a bad day. He is always in a positive mood no matter what and I cannot blame him for being like that, because you want people to remember in a good way not a bad way. My favorite quote from Mr. Currin is “Best Class Ever!” I will probably never ever forget him saying that. He always says this to us every other day for the last block of the day. The reason why he says this is, because he runs the student newspaper called “The Bulldog” and to get us motivated to do our work.  Another thing that I liked about Mr. Currin is that he was a good football coach also. He was my coach for 2 years, but he definitely knew what he was talking about. He was a good role model for the team to follow by, inside and outside the classroom. He’s the type of coach who could figure out any type of schemes that the defense has lined up against our offense. He always tries to find a way to win. I really respect Mr. Currin for what he does and how he does it. I have never had a problem with Mr. Currin and probably never will, but if I ever here someone talking bad about him I would stick up for him in heartbeat. As you can tell I definitely think that Mr. Currin is a big deal to me and I am very sure to many other people as well.

This next blog is about what I love writing about. There are many things that I could write about that I love. I could write about girls, life, or politic, but the one thing I do love to write about is sports. There is always something to write about for sports. You could talk about tennis, swimming, basketball, football, etc. There will always drama when it comes to sports also. You could talk about the locker room and even stuff that happens on the field or court.  Sometimes all the drama can lead to be firing of coaches, players being released, or even coaches or players being suspended. Sports are also, exciting to talk about. I am sure you could go up to more than 60% of guys on this world and talk sports with any of them. Sometimes sports are so exciting that I wish I could be one of those athletes when they take the big shot, make the long field goal kick to make it or making the last big bitch on an even count. Sports give me the chills when I watch them because sports are so unpredictable that you don’t know what’s going to happen. One sport in any city usually helps the city, because if people are down in the dumps people could always fall on a sports team to watch. I know that’s what Oklahoma City did this year when the Thunder started rolling in the playoffs this year. Sports are my favorite thing to write about, because they are to fun not to talk about. If I ever have the opportunity to being involved in sports in any way, I know that I will definitely be a competitor, because now I know what it takes to be an athlete in this day in age.

This next blog will be about the best part about the end of the school year. There are many things that could be good about the end of the year. You could be a senior waiting to graduate, you might want more hours at work or you could be a young kid and just want summer so you could do whatever you want. Well since I am a senior I can’t wait to graduate and get out of this school. I need change and I want it now! I want to meet new people and see how the real world is. Another good thing that it is the end of the school year is that I get to work more hours at work. I love working, because I can get things that my parents can’t get me and when summer comes I will hopefully be working around 40 hours a week. I will be rolling in dough for sure. One more thing that’s good about it being at the end of the school year is that vacation comes closer. I am going on vacation July 12 to July 23. I will be going to Hilton Head South Carolina with the McNamara family. This will be a blast! This will be the first vacation that I will be going on in about 6 years. The last time I went on vacation is when I went to San Antonio to visit my brother in the military. With me being older also, I could be freer on vacation, because my parents trust me to do the right thing. Overall I really hope that the end of the year comes faster, because then I will be free from high school and come closer to becoming an adult. I can’t wait for what the future brings me.

Q-5

For this blog it is a choice blog. This blog I am going to talk about what I am doing in my future. There will be a lot of obstacles in my life and there will be a lot of fun times. This year I will be attending GCC for the next 2 years then hopefully transfer down to a college in the south. The major I will be going for in college is sports management. With a sports management degree you can have a lot of job opportunities. You can do anything with this major when it comes to sports if you have a master’s degree.  You can be a scout, coach, general manager, etc. Hopefully when I do transfer to a school down south and graduate with a master’s degree, I might want a job with the Carolina Panthers or the Charlotte Bobcats. The Panthers are an NFL team and the Bobcats are an NBA team. When I work with one of these teams, I’m going to want to be a scout or a general manager, but I do realize I will have to work my way up the ladder, because that is how it goes nowadays. If this coaching thing does not work out, I will want to start my own paper view or TV show. I won’t say the idea and put it on the web, but I think that this idea could make some big money, because it hasn’t been used yet! Hopefully after that I will be able to retire where I moved down too and get a boat so I could fish and have a nice relaxing time or just live right by the beach. If this pans out to be my future in the next 30 years or 40 years, I will be truly blessed by god.

Q-4

This blog will be about my favorite pop icon. There are many pop icons in the world. You have Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Mark Walberg, Denzel Washington, and etc. My favorite icon of all time has to be Chris Farley. Chris Farley was this big guy who just had a knack to make people laugh whenever he wanted too. He used to be on SNL with Adam Sandler all the time. Saturday Night Live use to be at its finest when he was there with Adam. Chris also made a couple of movies. You may have heard of Tommy Boy which is one of my favorite all time movies. This movie is the complete package with some comedy and realistic fiction. My family always imitates this one part of a movie where he says, “I use to take bear claws 2 at a time and I get them lodged right in this region here!” This part of the movies gets me every time. Probably one of the funniest lines Chris Farley has ever said. It is a shame he committed suicide though. He was into some heavy drugs and alcohol at this time and his life went spiraling downward. Everyone has a bad time in their life, but it is a damn shame that he had to go the way he went. Chris Farley has inspired me in many good ways. He has made me have an outgoing personality, because without that you cannot succeed in life with other people. You have to be a people person in this day in age. Another thing he inspired me with was to do what you think is right cause in the end it is just another day and also a new beginning. He made me not live day by day; he made me change to live in the moment. Overall Chris will never be forgotten in my book

Q-3

This blog is about the best book I have read for English. My favorite book I read in English was called, “To Kill a Mockingbird”. This book was about a boy named Scout who was six and Jem was ten, they met Dill, a little boy who spent the summer with his aunt who lived next door to the Finches. Dill and Jem become obsessed with the idea of making Boo Radley, the neighborhood recluse, come out of his home. They go through plan after plan, but nothing draws him out. However, these brushes with the neighborhood ghost result in a tentative friendship over time and soon the Finch children realize that Boo Radley deserves to live in peace, so they leave him alone. Scout and Jem's God-like father, Atticus, is a respected and upstanding lawyer in small Maycomb County. When he takes on a case that pits innocent, black Tom Robinson against two dishonest white people, Atticus knows that he will lose, but he has to defend the man or he can't live with himself. Tom Robinson is sent to a work prison to await another trial, but before Atticus can get him to court again, Tom is shot for trying to escape the prison. It seems that the case is finally over and life returns to normal until Halloween night. On the way home from a pageant, Bob Ewell attacks Jem and Scout in the darkness. After Jem's broke her arm,Boo Radley, rescues Scout and her brother. In order to protect Boo's privacy, the sheriff decides that Bob Ewell fell on his own knife while he was struggling with Jem. Boo Radley returns home never to be seen again. This book left an inspiration on me, because this shows me that you should always stand in what you believe in, especially when you know you could prove people wrong.

Q-2

For this blog I am going to talk about my plans this summer. This summer will be different than others. This will be my senior year of summer. There will be a lot of graduation parties I will be attending. It will be a tough one, because some of these people I will not be seeing for a while or maybe in the next couple years. This summer will be an eventful one! I will be working a lot this year. I probably will be working around 40 hours this summer. I will be working at Joey’s Pizzeria in Depew. I make very good money there now, so hopefully I can make a lot more this summer. On July 13th is when my summer actually really starts. I will be going to Hilton Head South Carolina for 9 days with my best friend Gabe McNamara and his family and friends. This will be a vacation to remember. We will be going deep scuba diving, eating very good food, and laying by the beach all day and all night. This is a much needed vacation for me. I have not been on a vacation in 7 years. My last vacation I went on was to San Antonio Texas to visit my brother and we went on the River Walk. It was very pretty. Anyways, the next exciting thing for me this summer is starting my new life and the college life. College life will be interesting. It is like opening a whole other world. There will be new people I meet and of course new girls that I meet. Overall, this summer will definitely be one to remember. I will never forget this summer only, because this will be my legit last fun summer with all my friends. I cannot wait for summer!

Q-1

For this blog it is a choice blog. This blog I am going to talk about the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers are led by Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum. Everyone is saying that the Lakers suck, but people don’t know that this Laker team has potential to rise during the playoffs. This team has experience and they have been in the playoffs before, you can even ask Kobe (5 championships). Andrew Bynum is an upcoming superstar. He is only 24 years old and he had the first triple double for a center in 20 years since David Robinson. Andrew had 10 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks against Denver in game 2. They won the game, but it had to go to a seven game series failing to close game 6 at Denver.  The reason why people say the Lakers sucks is, because they can’t close game when the time comes to close them. I find that reason is garbage. Kobe is 33 years old. He cannot do it all on his own! He needs help from Gasol and Sessions. Gasol is not the player he was when he first came to the Lakers. He doesn’t look like the old Gasol that played at Memphis. He is one of the softest players to play the power forward spot and you cannot be soft at the power forward spot. You have to set the tone and be physical. You need to get double doubles each game you play and play like a beast. I think we need a better small forward also. Metta World Peace can play good at times, but it seems like he would be a better player coming off the bench as an energizer. Overall, the Lakers will have a lot of rebuilding to do when Kobe retires.

For this following blog I am going to talk about the teachers evaluations in New York State. The New York State teacher evaluations are good to do, but I think that they should base it more off where kids go to school then test scores. Test scores in my opinion don’t prove anything, because people could cheat on test to get that good of grades. If you do it by where students go to school like Harvard or a Princeton then you should get a bonus. This proves that they didn’t cheat on the SAT and that they paid attention all year long. I know it is very hard to get into a Harvard or Princeton, but this just shows how devoted teachers were to their students and how well they taught the students. This is why some schools are in a budget crisis and have to cut teachers even sports, because of the bonus money they give teachers just based on test scores and not overall performance. I also think that some teachers should get tested on how well they teach there subject they teach, because some teachers are not very good at teaching and sometimes I wonder as a student on how they even got a their teaching degree. Yes some individuals are probably very smart at a certain subject like math, but are they good a teaching people it? That’s the real question you have to ask as a school administrator or superintendent. I do like how teachers are required to shadow one teacher for a year, because then you learn how to actually teach someone and you learn how some people learn in different ways Overall, I do agree with New York State on trying to find a way on how effective a teacher is for their job, but I definitely would not base it off test scores.

This blog is a choice blog. In a choice blog I can talk about whatever I would like to talk about. For this blog I am going to talk about morals and ethics. What it comes down to in life is that you are going to have your friends and family no matter what. Your family and friends are your backbone to who you are, what you are, and what you do. One of my friends decides to one day to walk out of his dad’s life that has been there all his life, all because his dad and step mom agreed to him not to go out with this girl. This girl puts my friend in a bad spot all the time. I really don’t and probably will never understand what he sees in this girl. She drives him crazy. The kid will come running to me for help and I tell him what to do and he doesn’t do it. I don’t understand what is going through his head, but whatever the case may be I would never walk out on my family. My parents always do what’s right for me. If my dad said you can’t date this girl, because she is disrespectful to my family, I wouldn’t think twice about dating her. Your father brought you in to this world and he can take you out of it whenever he wants. If you disrespect your dad or even his girlfriend’s rules or wishes in his own house then there has to be something seriously wrong with you. One thing in this generation that I have realized is that people my age think they can whatever they want whenever they want, but if they do that they’re going to go nowhere. That’s part of life though. If you fall flat on your face after doing whatever you want are you going to realize to grow up and talk to your family or are you going to still act like “Billy Bad” and try to do it all on your old when your 17?

This blog is a choice blog. In a choice blog I can talk about whatever I would like to talk about. For this blog I am going to talk about the Buffalo Bills off season moves and the 2012 NFL draft. The Buffalo Bills had one of the best off seasons in Buffalo Bills history. The Bills made a huge splash in free agency by spending 124 million dollars on defensive ends Mario Williams and Mark Anderson. Mario Williams was the number one pick in the 2006 NFL draft. He will make an immediate impact for the Bills. Mario is the best defender to come to Buffalo since Bruce Smith. The Bills will have a monster front 7 with Mario Williams and Mark Anderson at the defensive ends, Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus at the defensive tackles, and Nick Barnett, Kelvin Sheppard, and Kirk Morrison at the linebackers. The NFL draft went well also for the Bills. The Bills drafted a cornerback with their first round pick by the name of Stephen Gilmore. He is physical corner who gets after it on the defensive side and he can press up against big receivers. Our second round pick was offensive tackle Cordy Glenn. He is 6’5 335 pounds of pure monster. He has great footwork for pass protection and is a big fan of running the ball. He will probably start at left tackle for the Bills for years to come. The next draft pick was wide receiver T.J. Graham form NC State. He is a deep threat for the Bills, running a 4.35 at his pro day. He kind of reminds the Bills former receiver Lee Evans. He will be competing for the starting job for the Bills opposite of Stevie Johnson. I think this Bills offseason will lead them to the playoffs this year.

After taking a look at my goals for the school year as a senior at Alden High School, I think I did a pretty good job at maintaining my goals. One goal that I wanted to maintain this school year is to be an honor roll student all year long. I have been a 3 time scholar athlete the past 3 semesters. My average this whole year is around a 90. Another goal that I am on the verge of maintaining is that going to play college basketball team. I just found out today that my highlight video that I created was just sent out to over 200 division III colleges in NY, Maryland, and North Carolina. Hopefully I could get an academic scholarship. That would be a blessing. I love the game of basketball too much. It honestly is the only sport that keeps me driven and keeps me in shape year round. It also shows that you can take a lot of responsibility on and off the court. My dream is to coach college basketball about 10 years down the road. Another goal was to win a sectional for basketball, but we lost are second playoff game to Tonawanda. It was a close game, but we fell short at the end. Another goal during the school year was to beat Hornell in football and win a state championship. Unfortunately we lost 20 to 14. It was a heartbreaker in overtime, but we showed heart and gave it are all throughout the whole season, we just came up short. Overall I am pretty pleased about my goals for my senior year this year. I really hope further down the road I could accomplish my dream goals after high school and actually live the dream and not dream about it.

This next blog is about television and how it affects us. I usually don’t watch too much TV because I am either at work or I am doing something with my friends. In my home there are 5 TVs. There is one in my room, one in my sisters, one in my kitchen, one in my living room, and one in my parents’ bedroom. Whenever I watch TV I usually watch ESPN, a movie, or Swamp People with my family and friends. There are many positives and negatives when you watch television. Television can be a source of false advertisement or could cause drama with people. I really don’t like television, because I don’t believe half the things they put on the television. The only thing I really do believe about television is the news. Television can cause you to be lazy or physically unfit if you watch too much of it, because if people find interest in a TV show and someone asks you to go play basketball, the person that is watching TV is probably going to watch the show then play basketball. Another negative about television is that it is one of the main causes of obesity. Obesity is and up and coming disease in the world. This can be caused by being lazy and eating a lot of food and watching TV. A positive about television is that if you watch news then you are up to date about the latest news. If it is about to snow in April, you are not going to find that out without checking the news. Overall I think television can be both good and bad for the society, because TV will always be in everyone’s life and you cannot change the way people put stuff out there on TV.

When I first heard this story I was amazed at what happened to Trayvon Martin. He was an innocent kid who just bought something to eat and drink minding his own business and he got shot. Black people do trust the police to a point. The only thing black people really trust the police for is protecting and serving them.  I feel that Trayvon Martin’s death was uncalled for and inappropriate. We have talked about it in school, but originally I heard of it through a friend’s mom. The main issue that is brought up to me is, just because Trayvon was walking around a neighborhood and he was African American he got shot. I walk around my neighborhood and my friend’s neighborhoods all the time, but nothing ever happens to me. In my opinion, this brings up a race issue. The law enforcement in that area needs to be questioned for sure. First off, the law of “Stand your Ground” needs to be overturned. It goes back to the old saying, never judge a book by its cover. This kid was completely unarmed and still got shot just because he looked a certain way and that is not okay. Second, the police force in the area needs to be questioned. Why was Zimmermon not taken to jail? He had murdered an innocent teenager based on “suspicion.” In my mind, that is crap. You can’t just randomly kill somebody off suspicion and get away with it the kid was doing nothing wrong and got killed for it. It is amazing how are government system is this messed up. This just goes to show that bad things can happen to innocent people who don’t deserve it and good things, such as not being taken to prison for murder, happen to the worst of people.

This next blog is about my future. There are many ways for me to go with my future.  When I go to college my major will be Sports Management. With a sports management degree you could coach, scout, ref, or be a manager of a basketball team. Another qualification I could add to my resume to be a coach or be a scout is me going to school to play basketball. In the future I honestly think I will be a coach for a team only, because I love sports way too much and they need to stay in my life. I know everything about football and basketball. You could probably show me a picture of each player in the NBA or NFL and I could tell you their weaknesses and strength as an athlete in their sport.  If I don’t make it as a coach or scout I could definitely see myself as an accountant for a big time corporation. As an accountant you make around $80,000 dollars a year. This can support your family easily. In the long run you can move up through the company and make more money after just starting out at $80,000. My final option for a career if an accountant doesn’t work out and being a coach or scout for a basketball team doesn’t work, I’m going to own my own business. I think I want to put a sports complex on my property. We feel that this will create a lot business and put this business on the map. Kids from Lancaster, Attica, Akron, Batavia, and Alexander would come and compete in games at my sports complex, because we are right in the middle of all the towns I mentioned. I really hope that one of these 3 options can be my future career.

In the following blog I am going to talk about Spring. There are many things to like about spring and some things to not like about Spring. Spring is where you see a lot of people at the park and see a lot of people get ready for summer. The reason why I love spring is, because there is so much more things to do, especially when it comes to having fun outside. Usually after I work out if it is nice out, I play basketball until dusk. This helps me get better as a player and it is healthy after a workout to run a little bit. This also helps me for college, because right after you work out you going to play ball so this helps me get use to the soreness when playing basketball. Another thing I like to do when its Spring is swim. It is good cardio especially when it is hot out. It also relaxes your muscles after a nice work out at the gym. One other reason I like Spring is, because I could drive my car with the windows down. I love when you could do this, because it feels good and relaxing. There are so many things you can do in Spring it is ridiculous. One of my favorite things to do at night during Spring is having a fire or a party outside. It is so peaceful to just sit by a fire with all of your friends and talk about the good times especially when you are a senior like me and you will not see all of your friends, because they will be off doing their own thing. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up so I can do more things outside, because this is the last spring break with all my friends.

In this blog we had to interview someone else from the bulldog. The person who I had to interview was Emily Zuchoski. Emily Zuchoski is a senior at our school and I asked her 5 question about herself so I could get to know her a little bit better. I asked Emily what college she was going to and what was her major for colle3ge? She told me that she is studying at GCC for human services and political science for 2 years, and then she is going to transfer to Damien to finish up her degree there. The next question I asked her was what her favorite food is. She told me that her favorite food is mash potatoes. She really like mash potatoes on thanksgiving, because that’s when she can eat a lot of mash potatoes. The third question I asked her was what some of her hobbies are. She answered back saying that she works a lot and she likes to work and she likes to go mudding in trucks or on four-wheelers with her boyfriend. The next question I asked Emily was where she works. She said that she works at Tim Horton’s and she said she like her job, because there is a lot of things to do and she said during school she works 20 hours a week. The last and final question I asked Emily was if she could go to one place in the world, where would she go and why. Emily answered back smiling saying she would definitely go to Louisiana, because there is a rich in French culture there and she could study about it and eat great rich food from there. From this interview with Emily I have learned a lot about her and became closer with her from the interview process.

This blog is a choice blog. In this blog I can choose to talk about whatever I would like. In this choice blog I am going to talk about the Buffalo Bills. The Bills made one of the biggest acquisitions in Bills history. The Bills signed Mario Williams. If you don’t know who Mario is let me describe him to you. He was the number one overall pick in 2006 from the Houston Texans. He is 6’7 285 pounds of pure monster! He has recorded 241 tackles in 83 NFL games. He also has 53 sacks in his career. Mario has made 2 pro bowl appearances, one in 2007 and one in 2008. Last year though he got injured. He only played 5 games. Mario tore his pectoral muscle. There were big questions if he could rehab fast from this injury, but sure enough he did. This pickup for the Bills is huge, because now we actually have a legit pass rusher to get to the quarterback. The Bills were ranked 27th in the pass rush in the NFL. That is pathetic. If the Bills want to have any chance to make a Super Bowl run they need a pass rusher. When the Bills went to 4 consecutive Super Bowls from 1990-1994, they had a pass rusher by the name of Bruce Smith. Bruce Smith is one of the best pass rushers of all time. We signed Mario Williams to a six year contract worth up to 100 million dollars. I do think it is a little expensive, but it is about time the Bills signed a big name free agent, because this will bring other big name free agents to Buffalo.  With this addition of Mario Willaims, I think the Buffalo Bills have a chance to make the playoffs if they make the right moves on draft day.

In this blog I am going to talk about the most embarrassing moment in my life. Everyone has an embarrassing moment in their life. It doesn’t matter who you are. I have had many embarrassing moments in my life. I will never forget this one embarrassing moment. I think I was five and it was my first time ever going to Darien Lake. I’m pretty sure it was one of the hottest days of the year. As I was walking into Darien Lake I felt something warm hit the top of my head. It felt slimy and mushy. Then my mom and dad just started laughing hysterically. I was so confused on what was going on. So as I turned around to see what they were laughing at, the slimy and mushy thing slid down the side of my face. Everyone that walked by me going into the park were giving me weird facial expressions. My mom and dad took me to the bathroom to clean up and I realized a bird pooped on me! I was so grossed out. I started puking in the bathroom and we went home, because I just wanted to take a shower. My mom and dad kept on telling me that it was good luck. I couldn’t stop crying after that happened to me. The next time we went to Darien Lake, I wore a hat and sunglasses to make sure a bird didn’t poop on me again. I will never ever forget that embarrassing moment in my life, because it was first one I ever remembered happening to me. Some embarrassing moments help you though, because that way you are not afraid to laugh at yourself. Embarrassing moments build character. It shows if you can take the heat for something you did on accident.

In this blog I am going to talk to you about distracted driving. There are many things that could distract you when you are driving. The weather could distract you, a beverage spilling in your car or your radio, but the number one thing that distracts you while you are driving is texting while you are driving. I know many people who have died, because of driving and texting. It is crazy how technology can be such a distraction now days. A recent study has shown that texting while driving is actually more dangerous than driving while you are drunk. If texting has caused you or someone you know to be injured in a car accident you may be entitled to legal compensation and benefits. Reckless driving can be punished with a fine of up to $500 and up to 90 days in jail. Some statistics are that most texting and driving accidents occur when you are 16-20 years old. When a driver texts while driving, his/hers reaction time will decrease by 35% When texting, steering capability goes down by a tremendous amount; 91%.  A driver is twenty three times more likely to get into a car accident while driving and texting. Drivers are also six times as likely to get into a car accident while dialing a number into their cellular devices. Let’s face it, from these statistics you always have a chance to get into an accident even if you think you are the greatest driver in the world. My dad thinks he is the greatest driver in the world, but I told him don’t ever text and drive with me in his car, because I feel very unsafe when he does it. Sometimes I don’t think he looks at the road at all when he texts. I feel you should get a severe punishment if you get caught driving and texting. Maybe even get your license suspended.

Well it was Saint Patrick’s Day this weekend and I did absolutely nothing. Sometimes we go downtown to the parade and that’s pretty much it, but not this year, because we had plans to go to the mall and had other errands to run.  My family honestly forgot that Saint Patrick’s Day was this weekend. All in all it was still a good weekend. One family tradition that my family and I do every year is go to a Syracuse basketball game with my family and friends. We leave at 12 noon on the day of the game then go to the hotel room as soon as we get there then we go to the game. The game this year was against Louisville. They won the game, but it was kind of boring, because they did not play that well until the second half and there weren’t that many dunks at all. After the game there was a lot of traffic, because it was senior night so it took us a good half an hour to go back to our hotel room.  After we got back to our hotel room we ordered food from a pizzeria. We ordered a sheet pizza with 50 wings and they charged us 62 dollars! We thought that was ridiculous. It should cost like $45 or $50 dollars. That’s like a dollar a wing and like 3 dollars a slice of pizza. It was outrageous. After we ate, we watched the Duke versus North Carolina game. I was pulling for Duke to win, but they were getting killed. North Carolina was beating Duke by 20 at the end of the first half. I couldn’t believe Duke was getting beat this bad by North Carolina, because it is usually always a close game between these two teams. After that we went to bed and woke up went to breakfast and left. It was a fun road trip!

This blog is a choice blog. In this blog I can talk about whatever I would like to talk about. I am going to talk about the Buffalo Bills. The Bills just made a huge move for the team’s future. The Bills signed wide receiver Stevie Johnson to a 6 year contract worth 32 million dollars. This is huge for the team, because we need a future wide out for this organization. I think we still need a true number one wide out, because I just think Stevie could be a number 2 receiver at best. I really hope the Bills could grab Defensive end Mario Williams. Mario played for the Houston Texans and was the number one pick in 2006. If the Bills grab Mario Williams they could seriously make a push for a playoff spot this year. He is a great athlete who could get to the quarterback. That is exactly what the Bills need for their defense. Another need for the Bills is getting a true number one receiver. There are many wide outs in the draft and free agency. In the free agency you have wide outs like Vincent Jackson from the Chargers, Reggie Wayne from the Colts, and Marques Colston from the Saints. I think Marques Colston would be a great pick up for the Bills. He has proved himself to be a number one receiver when he was with the Saints catching 449 balls and racking up 6,240 yards with 48 touchdowns. This kid has some god given talent. He is also 6’4 225 pounds. That is what the Bills need, a big possession receiver. If the Bills land both Mario Williams and Marques Colston in the free agency and they draft a young offensive tackle in the first round, the Bills will make the playoffs for sure.

This blog is about what makes me angry. There are many things that make people angry. Someone could tell on you for something dumb or copycat you. That isn’t what gets me mad. What gets me mad is being disrespectful to your elders. Your elders know a lot more than you will ever know until your grow old. It is like not listening to your parents. That is very disrespectful. I do not like it when people walk right by somebody that they know and act like they don’t know them. That is completely wrong to do. You should go out of your way to go see your elder and say hi to them. You never know when somebody could die. I’ll never forget when my dad was really mad, because one of my friends didn’t say hi to him. My dad felt like he was disrespected. He honestly wouldn’t let my friend come over again until he apologized to him on being disrespectful to him. From that moment on my friend always says hi to him whenever he comes over or whenever he sees him. Another disrespectful moment I remember was when some old lady was unloading her groceries from her car and asks her grandson who was about 16 at the time to come help unload the groceries. The grandson said no and walked right into the house. When I saw this happen I felt bad for the older lady. I went over to her car and asked her for help with the groceries and she said yes. I empty all the groceries for her and she gave me $10 for the help and I told her to keep her money and anytime she needs help with something to give me a call to help her with it. From that moment on I respected my elders for the rest of my life.

For this blog we have to write about what we are afraid of. There are many things you could be afraid of. You could be afraid of spiders, jello, and sports, but that isn’t my fear. Some people have phobias which can be more severe than others. Yes I do have fear of heights, but the thing that scares me the most is failure. Failure means an act of failing or proving unsuccessful; lack of success. Failure to make it in this world, failure to not have a family of my own, and failure to not have my own family support me would scare me. That is what scares me the most by far. If you think about it if you don’t succeed for these concepts then there is no possible way you can make it in this world. It would be scary to not have a family of your own. Who would you lean on if you needed help financially? What would you do if you did something bad and you needed someone to lean on? It would be scary if you don’t have a family that supported you. If you got kicked out of your girlfriend’s house, whose house would you stay at? If you needed money who else would ask? It would be scary if you didn’t make it in this world point blank. Imagine if you didn’t have a job or a career or even a high school degree, what would you do with your life? You wouldn’t be able to do anything. You would have no future or nothing. I know as a person there could be a lot of things you could be afraid of, but I know failure would definitely be at the top of my fears, because there is no point of you being in this world if you fail.

The Super Bowl is always fun. During the Super Bowl you are usually with your friends and family. The one Super Bowl I will never forget is when the Steelers played the Seahawks. This was a good game and most of all this day was very fun. I had 2 friends over by the names of Corey and Christian Barczykowski. I remembered it was snowing out and it was a very windy night. We had tons of food that my mom made. My friends and I were sitting there in front of all this food starving, but then we had an idea. We decided to have a food factor. Are food factor contained olives, hot sauce, eggs, steak, a1 sauce, milk, water, pickles, and celery. We grinded all this food up in a food processor and poured it into a cup to drink out of. It was a very dark color with some green in it. It was very gross. Christian ended up winning and me and Corey lost.  After this we decided to play basketball. It was very cold out. We were playing on a 8 foot rim. We played two on one. It was Corey and I verses Christian. We beat him by one point seven to six. The game was crazy and fun. I remember at one point where Corey went to go grab the basketball and as he was grabbing it he got picked up by the wind and dragged a good 3 feet. It was crazy! This year’s Super Bowl was pretty good. My family members and I all hung out at my house and ate a feast. I really hope the Bills make it to the Super Bowl one day so that way I could go to the Super Bowl and watch them win it all.

This blog has to do with the photo above. We are supposed to write a story for each image. One day there was this cat named Kyle and this girl named Kathy. There were best friends. They meet each other in a park. Kathy was walking in the park going for a morning jog. She has been running for about 2 hours now non-stop. She came across a cat while she was running.  The cat had to have been about 20 pounds and it had orange hair. Kathy said Kyle reminded her of a little baby tiger. She had to take him home. Kathy’s new best friend was Kyle. She did everything with him. They would always go on jogs together and go out to breakfast. You can tell that Kathy was going to be a cat lover for the rest of her life. One day when they were in Kathy’s room, Kathy wanted to change the paint in her room. She couldn’t decide on just painting it all purple or get birds painted on her wall with little designs on it. She had to pick the birds with the designs on it, because she always wanted a bird, but she will never get one now because she has a Kyle and she knows Kyle will eat it. After she painted it she went right to bed with Kyle. Kathy heard Kyle meowing and she had no idea why. Kyle kept on scratching the wall. She noticed that one of the birds she painted on the wall was gone. Kathy freaked out! She found out who the ex-owner of the house was and found out that the ex-owner loved birds.  Kathy moved out of the house 1 week later and never returned to the house. Kathy and Kyle lived happily ever after.

This blog has to do with the photo above. We are supposed to write a story for each image. This story is about a boy named Troy and his father Ricky. Ricky and Troy have always been close. They were the perfect father and son combination. They would always do stuff together and would never argue. Ricky was married but his wife died. His wife Julie died while serving in the front lines of Iraq war. He still cares about her and thinks about her constantly. They were married for 10 years. Ricky says that Troy reminds him so much of his mother. One night on Troy’s mom’s birthday they went out to eat at Louie’s for a hot dog and a milkshake. It was Julie’s favorite restaurant to eat at. She got the same as everyone else every time. They go there every Friday in memory of Julie. They got home and Troy just laided in his bed thinking about his mom. Ricky asked troy if he wanted to go for a walk on the board walk by the Lake Smith. Troy said yes and they went on the walk. It beautiful night on the Lake Smith, the weather was perfect walking weather. As Ricky and Troy were walking they had seen a lot of boats and birds. They were wondering why birds would be out at night like this. Then all of a sudden Ricky pointed something out. He saw something in the sky. It was a bright white color. They couldn’t tell what it was, because it was so bright. Then the bright light came crashing down into the water. All you heard was a big boom in the water. Something was coming out of the water. They couldn’t tell what it was, but all of a sudden he notice it was Julie. The boys just started crying. She said that Ricky was being a terrific father and if Troy keeps it up he will be a great son. Troy wakes up and realizes the board walk was all a dream.

This blog has to do with the photo above. We are supposed to write a story for each image. In this story this is about a teenager named Kyle. One night Kyle came home from his mama’s house and was really tired. He worked all day long on moving stuff around for the spring party at his mom’s. For the past couple days he has been seeing weird stuff. He says that he has been seeing ghost, but no one else sees it. Well one night when Kyle was sleeping at his dad’s he ended up waking up at 1 a.m., because he was really cold, but the weird thing was that it was 74 degrees out that night so he didn’t really understand how he was cold. Since he couldn’t sleep, he grabbed 3 more blankets and fell asleep, but then again he woke up. He realized that the blankets he grabbed were on the ground. As he went to grab them he felt that something was behind him. After he grabbed the blankets he realized they were ice cold. He turned quick and there he saw the same ghost he’s been seeing for the past couple days. They just both stared at each other. Kyle ended up peeing his pants a little bit. The ghost laughed at him. Kyle asked him why he has been following him for the past couple days. The ghost told him it was his time to go. Kyle started crying. The ghost said he was kidding, but the real reason why he has been following Kyle was, because the ghost said that if he doesn’t do this task for the devil he will die on in 24 hours. He had to do one thing and one thing only if he wanted to live. The task was…

This blog has to do with the photo above. We are supposed to write a story for each image. This story has to do with Clifford and the rat. Clifford (the man with the glasses) just got home from work. He had a very stressful day and couldn’t wait to come home. He just wanted a nice peaceful day with his cats. He has 30 cats. He calls all his cats’ kitty, because he could not think of 30 names for his cats. Well one evening he was coming home, he started to make dinner. He made chicken alfredo with green beans, mash potatoes, corn, and some sweet apple pie for dessert. The pie was huge! He had to make it for himself and all of his cats. After all the cats ate some of the pie they all passed out, because they were so full. After they fell asleep he noticed something in the rug. It was a big figure. It was bigger than his cats. All of a sudden it moved closer and closer to him then it attacked Clifford! He grabbed a chair and tried to hit over and over again. The power went out and he couldn’t see where it went. Clifford heard the rug rip. He automatically thought the animal escaped. Clifford is now hiding in the closet to see what it was. As he was looking out of the closet, he saw something that had to have been 10 feet tall and 400 pounds. Clifford didn’t move an inch. The animal ran out of the house. Clifford said it was the biggest human like species he has ever seen.

There are many musicians in the world today. You go back to Mozart and Beethoven age to Rick James, Jimi Hendrix, and the Beatles. This bands and musicians have had an impact on everyone across the globe. The one artist or musician that is closing in on being my favorite is Drake. Drake is a young rap artist that is becoming the next big thing. Drake wrote most of Lil Wayne’s songs before he became big in singing. Music usually affects people in certain ways. Drake connects to me emotionally big time, especially with girls. He probably is the biggest ladies’ man right with Wilt Chamberlin and my father. I am joking around. But anyways Drake knows what an everyday guy goes through; especially when he talks about the girl he cares about. Drake usually puts me in a faded mood. When I listen to his music I become very relaxed and chilled out. After Drake the next favorite musician is definitely Eminem. Ever since I was little I have been listening to him. He has gone through a lot in his life like I have. Whenever I am mad or whenever I’m about to work out I listen to Eminem. He puts in a state a mind of where I would not want to mess with type of mind.  Eminem is considered to be one of the best rappers to ever live. If people were asked to name one white rapper people would automatic think of Lil Wayne only because he has won the most awards for rapping as a white person.  These rappers have impacts on everyone across the world. There lyrics are just so mesmerizing If you ask anybody who likes rap I guarantee that they could say a couple lyrics from some of both of these artist. In all, these artists will always be my favorite until I die. Nothing will ever change that.

This is a choice blog. A choice blog is where I could talking about anything I want. Today’s topic is stress. Stress can usually be from money issues, family issues, school or work. Stress can affect people in different ways. Some people cope with stress by doing physical activity or some people cope with stress in a bad way by doing drugs or start smoking cigarettes. I have been going through a lot of stress lately. That’s why I am going to take my time to tell you what I have been going through. I have been having family problems at home, I got into a car accident, and I’m having girl problems. The problems at home can be easily fixed, but that car accident definitely took a toll on my family. My girl problems though have been my main problem. I have been talking this girl for a while now and I don’t think she understands that I care for her. After that car accident I just wanted to me with her, but I don’t think she realizes it. I try to make her realize it by giving her flowers or having her over my house to watch movies and doing stuff with my family. She is leaving for college in 6 months. She will be moving out of state. The only thing I want out of us is something special before she leaves for college. It’s hard to get a girl like her. She’s like my best friend but I know we could be more if she gives it a chance. That’s all I want is one fair opportunity. I know I won’t get married to her but just to have someone like her to care for you would be to die for. I know that there will be girls like this all my life, but this is honestly my first experience where I actually feel something for a girl. My life is having a couple bumps in the road right now but I know I’m a strong enough person to get over it. Don’t ever cope with stress in a bad way. Always do something that will benefit you in a good in a good way.

There are a lot of teachers that I like throughout my schooling here in Alden. You have Mr. Currin, Mr. Burkhardt, Mr. Turton, and Mrs. Siuta. But my favorite teacher throughout primary and intermediate school was Mrs. Bishop. Mrs. Bishop was a great person and a great teacher. She taught Math, English, Science, anything you could imagine she taught well at. She had a big influence on me, especially when it came to school. She always made sure I had my school work done. There were no excuses whatsoever. When I was in her class she went on vacation and went to meet the New England Patriots. I had some New England Patriots football cards and I asked her if she could get them signed and she did. I had a Tom Brady rookie card signed by him, A Deion Branch rookie card that was signed, and a Lawyer Milloy card that was signed also. This showed me that she was nice enough to take time out of her schedule to get those cards signed for me. Mrs. Bishop had an impact on life as well. She taught me responsibility and to make sure that your family always comes first before anything. When my mom had to go to the hospital for a week, because of her lung collapse she gave me a lot of time to make up my school work. She cared about what I was going through as a person at a young age. I really appreciated that. The final impact Mrs. Bishop had on me was that whenever I needed anything she was there for me. That is what you look for in an inspiring teacher. I really hope other people think she was a great teacher, because she had a great impact on me and as a student.

For this blog I am describing a hero. A hero can be described in many ways. A hero could be someone that you could look up too or someone that has overcame adversity and prospered through it. In my opinion I think heroes are doctors, firefighters, cops, and people in the armed forces.  If I had to choose someone that could be my hero it would be my father. My father has always been there for me no matter what. Ever since I was 5 years old I would always being doing something with him. When I was younger we use to play games in my living room. We would play football with a foam football. My dad would tell me too run a route and he would throw the football to me either leading me to the couch or catching it on the rug. Another game we would play would have to do with basketball. We would buy this rubber ball and use this basket as a basketball hoop. We would stand at the end of my living room and shoot the ball into the basket until we missed. These games that me and my dad played helped me love sports. He had such a big influence on me with sports. He coached me in football for 13 years and in basketball for 4. Even if he was not interested in sports he taught me life lessons when I was young. He told me that women weaken the legs and the pocket books and that always keep your mouth shut when your mom talks to you. Those 2 life lesson have made me the man I am today. Another reason why he is my hero is that he provides for his family. He works 40 hours a week and does whatever has to be done at home. This is my hero, who is yours?

This blog is a choice blog. For this blog I get to choose to talk about whatever I want. For this choice blog I am going to talk about the Buffalo Bills. The Buffalo Bills started off red hot. They went 4-1 and after Fitzpatrick signed that contract the Bills went down the toilet. Those 4 wins included teams like the Patriots, Chiefs, and The “dream team” Eagles. The Bills are a good team, but I think they are 3 or 4 players away from being a playoff team. Some improvements the Bills need are another wide out, a better cornerback, an offensive tackle, and a pass rusher. I think we could improve some of these positions through free agency. Some people say if Robert Griffin III is there in the NFL Draft when we are up to pick, that we should take him. I couldn’t agree more. He reminds me of Randal Cunningham. Griffin knows how to keep the play alive and in Buffalo you need a quarterback like that, because our offensive line isn’t the greatest in the world. If Griffin is gone by the time we pick I think the Bills should take Courtney Upshaw, an outside linebacker from Alabama. He reminds me of Terrell Suggs. He is a great pass rusher and he knows how to stop the run. The 2 things we need on the defensive side of the ball.  Another thing I would do is trade up to get Justin Blackmon the wide out from Oklahoma State. He is a freak of nature. He is 6’1 220 pounds and runs a 4.4 in the forty yard dash. He has a vertical of 34 inches and can catch anything. Mark my words that he will be one of the best revivers to play in the NFL ever! Hopefully the bills make the right choices in the off season so we could see the Bills in the playoffs.

The highlight of my holiday break was hanging out were the holidays. Christmas was fun. I woke up and opened my present and I got boots and a new jacket. We had an afternoon brunch, also with my family and my grandma. After that we played card games and watched the football game. During the evening we had dinner and ate turkey, corn, mash potatoes, and had some chocolate pie for dessert. my friends. My friends also made my last winter break complete. I hung out with my friends every single day this break. Even though I had basketball, we would go to mighty taco almost every day and then we would go see a movie. It was awesome. The best movie I saw over break was called the warrior. This movie was about 2 brothers that have never really liked each other that end up fighting in the MMA for 5 million dollars. It was one of the saddest movies I have ever watched. I cried 3 times during the movie.  Another thing me and my friends did during the break was that we went to Skyzone and played dodge ball and dunked basketballs the whole time. It was awesome! People should definitely go to skyzone, because you get a workout. New Years was definitely fun too. I ended up having a party and we just chilled and ate food until the ball dropped. After the ball dropped, we played dance dance revolution 2 on the Wii. Gabe ended up winning it all, because he dances like a girl, but it’s cool. Overall this break was definitely my favorite, because I did not have to work during it. I got to spend time with all my friends and family. This break will not compare to any of the other ones, because this was my last winter break.

There are many things you can put on a bucket list, but I have my top 3. My top 3 items on my bucket lists are to own my own business, watch my grandkids and kids play sports, and learn how to play guitar. The reason why I put owning my own business on my bucket lists is, because it shows that I am a very successful person. Owning my own business will show my kids how to be successful and it also sets up a future for my family down the line. I either want to start a business that has to do with sports management, own a sports complex, or be a NFL Scout. I put watching my kids and grandkids play sports, because I want my kids to stay active. Sports build good character and I know my family could benefit from that. Sports are my life and I always want to be somehow apart of them. I can’t wait until I have a kid of my own and watch him play sports because I could teach him things that my dad didn’t teach me and I could show them what it takes to play that sport if they ever want to go professional in a sport they love. I love sports so much that I want to be involved with them for the rest of my life My final item on my bucket list is to play guitar. My dad plays guitar, but he never had time to show me how to play. I love music. I listen to music every day. I have always wanted to play guitar, because I think it’s cool to play guitar. Play guitar also gets you the ladies as well. One day in my life I will achieve these three items on my bucket lists, even if it kills me.

Usually peoples New Year’s Resolutions are either job goals or people start new good habitats. My New Year’s Resolution has to do with basketball. My New Year’s Resolution is to shoot better in basketball. In the beginning of the basketball season I started off slow only averaging around 6 pts. a game. Now I’m averaging 10.3 points a game. I have had double digit points in 5 of the last 6 games. I feel like if I keep up my game I could go to school and play basketball. I really hope my New Year’s Resolution comes through only, because I love the game of basketball a lot and I really hope I could do something with it. Come to think of it my basketball career is almost over here in Alden. We only have like 8 games left not including playoffs. I really hope we finish strong throughout the season so that way we have a good seed in the playoffs. If we win the rest of our games we could have a chance to go to Buff State. Alden hasn’t gone to Buff State in I don’t know how many years, but I know it has been awhile. The last time we ever won a section 6 title is around 30 years ago. I think we have a good chance to win our division if we beat the rest of our division opponents. My senior night will be an emotional one. Once I stop playing basketball I really don’t know what I will do. This week we face Cleve Hill. This will be a big game, because this is a division game. We lost to them at home 76-56. This game will require a lot of hustle. We need to out rebound them and play defensive and we should win the game. This would be a huge win for us.
